It’s fair to say that this duo were all-the-rage in the late 70s and early 80s. Not headline names but an integral part to what every great Saturday was about.
One was full of manic energy and running into every objective with the vain hope of securing success, the other was the epitome of serenity mopping up mishaps wherever they occurred.

White Roding 45s have their own Terry (Malone) and June (aka John Deamer) powering our midfield dynamo with never ending running, tough tackling and very few mishaps on the field of play.
Today‘s game was not one for the purist with poor physicality from an over-zealous opposition and some rather liberal refereeing but the midfield was core to our success this weekend.
Roding started the brightest with several chances that went begging in the first few minutes, with Babs smacking the post from distance and the front line snuffed out by FOBS’ keeper. That said, it was another of the midfield Gary Barnett who swept in a curling corner that could not be stopped from crossing the line after 10minutes.
Roding continued to attack with Terry, Holly, Splinters and Sonic all going close. The defence was rarely troubled apart from some mistimed challenges.
Half time came and went and changes were made, but still the passion and poise remained. Lux, Terry, Barno, John, Holly, Molty, Splinters and Dom should have stretched the score line by several fold, but the game petered out in the final minutes to record another victory.
Partnerships are crucial to a memorable Saturday. Sometimes they go unnoticed, but never unappreciated. It is only when the partnerships do not work do you realise how good the great ones are. This weekend Terry & June proved that despite they had the last laugh, they are not the Chuckle Brothers when it comes to football
