There is a long-standing connection between catching Swedish pop royalty and football. Alan Partridge earned his stripes as a sports reporter before stardom with his Knowing Me, Knowing You chat show, the A-B-B-A penalty format is being trialled by FIFA to ease the pressures on the loser of the coin toss and Agnetha looks more capable in a goalkeeper jersey than Thomas Ravelli.

At grassroots level, The Name of the Game is selfless support. Many have said that the spirit in the 45's team is very different than The Day Before You Came - this is solely down to the people that have stepped up to the plate to contribute to the cause. Instead of Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, the culture is now I Do, I Do, I Do. As you are aware, the lockdown cruelly came in to place 48hrs before our first ever cup final when 90 mins would have seen the Winner Takes It All. 12 weeks later have been a chastening, heart-warming and productive period after the initial SOS call to stay at home. More than One of Us have helped refurbished the home changing facilities, generous benefactors have helped with Money, Money, Money to fund a new kit and pay for pitch improvements and many have volunteered support, services and supplies when the phone went Ring Ring. The team should be rightly proud of everything they have achieved. More recently when we re-commenced training, 16 players every week have exclaimed I've Been Waiting For You, whilst tackling the agility ladder exercise like a Dancing Queen. I am simply corral and co-ordinate, so thank you to those that did Take a Chance On Me and for making a reality out of what I Have a Dream for. The hard work continues as we step up the intensity and a hope for a return to action in September - this time without success Slipping Through My (Our) Fingers.
