The first home game of the season saw a Mexican flavour to the post-match food and the welcome of Westhamians in the 2nd Cup Match of Group D - with both sides knowing that whoever won stood a great chance in reaching the knockout stages.

Wholesale changes were needed with Tel away in Sardinia, Crocks in Portugal, Tony C in Belgium and Spencer at a Dulux Trade Partners Incentive Trip. Again there were some last minute calls for help from the 35's with James heroically helping. Coming in was DD, Tony B, Bumble, Stuart between the sticks and Mark C up front.

A change in personnel meant a change in formation from the Gaffer, showing off his Kipsta Coaching Folder (with magnetic counters) to great effect.

A great playing surface was undone by more wind than the peppers and onions caused in the clubhouse. All the same, White Roding had the better of the first half and a few bruises after some Julian Dicks-esque challenges by the visitors.

Handbags between players at halftime resulted in some extra nominations for Wanker of the Week and a suspension of orange rations.

The second period was a much more fluid affair, with the opposition striving to shoot and the home team exploiting the spaces. Chances were spurned by Lux, Bumble, Dom, Mark & Cyril's right testicle, before Ian H went on one of his mazy runs and stroked it home to seal a first back-to-back victory for any White Roding team in 5 years.

Special mention goes to Dean (again)... this week he hit the bar twice from 20 yards, bursting 2 balls in the process and had to tape the Captain's armband to his shirt - who would of thought that a man with such little arms could hit a ball so hard?!

It is over 6 years since 3 games have been won in row... no pressure lads.
